Before You Apply...

Before applying for our game, there are a few pages we recommend you taking a look at:

- Rules
- Premise
- Taken Characters
- Wanted Characters

Be sure you fully understand the rules, as well as the premise - both dictate what kind of characters and playing style we expect from our writers. Also make certain you aren't applying for a character that is already taken. We encourage any and all applications, (so long as the character's name is canon and/or listed in the HP Lexicon), although a look at the Wanted list will give a good idea of the characters we're really in need of at the moment.


Onto the Application...

By applying for the game, you acknowledge that you've read both the game's premise and the rules, as well as confirmed to us that you are at least 18 years of age.

All applications should be emailed to thedmlemods@gmail.com. No applications sent via comments or other journals will be accepted. No applications that deviate from the below format will be accepted.

Previous RPG experience: Not required to apply. It will not hurt your chances if you have not Role Played before.

Availability to Play: Game rules state a character must post at least once every two weeks.

Sexuality: This will not affect your chances of being accepted to the game.

Tell us how you character feels about the DMLE and the process of justice within the Ministry:

Tell us about your character's relationships with others: Things such as best friends, enemies or romantic relationships, past and present.

Tell us why your character was sorted into their respective Hogwarts house: If your character did not attend Hogwarts, you needn't answer this question.

Tell us what kind of person your character is: Goals and ambitions, values they consider important, beliefs they have, bad habits or quirks they exhibit, flaws and imperfections in their personality and behaviour, how they act toward their friends or lovers, etc.

Writing Samples

In this section, we ask that you provide us with a writing sample so we can get a true feel for your character and writing style. The sample must be at least 300 words long. Several formats are allowed: sample solo RP, owl post, public journal entry, private journal entry or blocked journal entry. Please address the rules or the game itself for examples of what the aforementioned formats look like.
